There is currently an auction for a 2 liter Bugatti oil can. Last time I checked the high bid was $1500. Anyone know what the record is? Check out www.arteauto.com [This message has been edited by autoartist (edited 06-21-2005).]

Here is a Cities Service quart can I have never seen before 7163705651 . My question is: Why is there limited action on possibly a unique quart in a highly collected area as Cities Service?

Texaco Spica can went last summer for $4200-$4500. I have seen several qts go from $1500-$2000 range. Polly 5 qt went for around $4000 last summer as well.

You are probably right. I knew it was Texaco but wasn't sure. Thanks for the correction.

The Texaco can held the record for awhile until the 5 qt. Polly can sold for,I believe around $4500. Personaly, I don't think there is any comparison betwen the two. The Texaco is one of their earliest can and the graffics are OUTSTANDING. Both are rare and beautiful, thus the price of them (DUH)!
Doug, it's good to know that an Oldgas member has this can now. Could you post a pic of that can for the ones that have never seen it?

Wow Gary !!!!
I made a terrible mistake in what i said last night. I do not own the can. I had a print out of the auction, because i bid and lost on that can. Very sorry guys. I will however try to see if i can get a picture for you guys. In the future, I promised to reread my replys.

IF I HAD THAT CAN, IT WOULDN'T BE SITTING ON A SHELF WHICH IT LOOKS TO BE IN THE PICS! THAT BAD BOY WOULD BE IN A VACUUM SEALED ULTRAVIOLET PROTECTED GLASS VAULT VISIBLE FROM ALL SIDES EXCEPT THE BOTTOM! LOL!!
