It is a Wayne 100-B, made between 1947 and 1951. It is shown on page 330 of my new Gas Pump Identification book.

Jack, Thanks for identifying it. I am new to the forum and mostly into signs but have decided I want a pump to add to the garage. Seeing as though I have no knowledge of value for these pumps could you guide me to the approximate value of this pump in this condition? Person is asking $500. seems high considering it will need to be totaly restored. Thanks for your help on this...Colin

Pumps seem to vary in price depending on location. I know here in Ontario Canada 5oo dollars isnt a bad price if it is complete and in solid condition

CONDITION IS EVERYTHING.
Check for rusted/damaged sheet metal, chips to faces, missing parts.
ASK if that's his best Cash price, most sellers hate checks.
IF you Don't ask, you won't get it for less.

Just my opinion but I would think for $500 you could get a cleaner pump than one someone just lets lay on the ground for who knows how long. In my opinion it is not that rare of pump yet.
It is too bad to see a nice pump just lay there. Offer $50.00 bucks not to be offensive but to help clean up the yard.

Will just any pump do for your 1st ?
Get Jack's book on pumps, decide which pump you really want, then pursue it.
It took quite a few years to find a couple I really wanted at a price I could afford. I like them all. Some more than others.

I Don't believe I will ever collect pumps, But I woulds like to have a few. BTW, he has had this advertised for over a month and still has it. I asked him for his best price and he said no less than $250. It is complete. So it may be worth the 1hr and 15 minute drive to see it and possibly get it for less as long as the back side isn't all rusted.

I would think that $250 is fair, assuming the condition is what you say it is.

Just my opinion again but if he was asking $500 and is willing to cut it in half I would talk to his Wife. I have this funny feeling, with it just laying there, she is willing to have you haul it off! Seriously I think he will go lower, but it might have to sit there a little longer. Good luck,
Mike
