First item I'm selling on Oldgas. Time for me to reign in my collection, running out of space. Sold some general store signs earlier this week. Selling this sign simply because it's not "gas & oil".

I dug this out after another member posted a wanted ad.

I bought this sign about 4 years ago from a reputable collector. It is 100% original and nos and has not been cleaned in anyway. Still has the residue from the paper that would have separated it from other signs (I only have one). The collector only had one as well not part of a large find. It is marked as Made in Canada and dated 1956. It is a very nice sign especially considering it’s age of 56 years. It is 24” x 18” and has a 2 1/4” flange. There are a few scratches which I photographed and the paper residue is also visible. Very graphic image of the chainsaw. The log rounds that the text is written in are a creative touch.

I’ve attached a few pictures and they accurately reflect the condition of this sign. There is a slight bow in the sign which is also photographed.

Price is $500.00 plus shipping.

Lets try this one again. Price remains firm at $500.00.

There's one currently on e-Bay for $800.00.

Chainsaw sign buyers are best found at farm shows across the country. They might bite at that number if Clinton is a brand they favor. Clinton was more well known for their small engines than the quality of their chainsaw.

Before I take $250 for it, I'd fold it in half and shred it! I'm not selling it because I'm in need of money.

Anyone that thinks a 24x18", nos, double sided flange that is 58 years old isn't worth $500 should maybe refrain from giving unsolicited appraisals. I know what it's worth, never asked for an opinion of value. Anyone that has been to my place knows that in the past 8 years I have bought enough signs to know what they are worth!
