This sign sold for about $500 a few weeks ago on Ebay. Easy to spot with one destroyed side & a huge cicle of rust. Now its posted up here for $1500 I hope this picker/flipper is on old gas and chimes in! eBay# 221367947586

the selfy hair guy & redhotrelics (as well as others, but mainly them) buy on ebay and then resell on ebay. i dont really have a problem with it... its entertaining to watch at times: This GMC Sign Sold on Ebay in Nov 2013 for $545.... RedHotRelics bought it & relisted it for $1600 obo: (281180141188) Hair Selfy guy then bought it from RedHot for around $1000 and relisted for even more: $3000 obo (321315186576) They buy and sell from each other all the time. RedHot has recently been doing some auction style listings, but judging from the bid history and relisted items... it appears there may be some shaky business in those auctions. But thats just speculation. So a $500 sign turns into a $3k asking price. But this not uncommon, there are vendors at shows with equally inflated prices most the time. Only people that its hurting is the uninformed/uneducated buyer.

thats why I was making the comparison to vendors at shows, cause this is not limited to these guys on ebay... its just part of the hobby.

Haha, ok glad im not the only one this bugs. Yeah no shame for the James Dean of WI. Sorry for the rant OG, I lost by a few dollars on the Shell 42in. It's just upsetting finding it again but in the hands of a picker/flipper.

Yeah it's a cycle Bryce, selfie hair guy will flip these to uninformed buyers then the price goes back to market value when they decide to sell. eBay item number: 261383981322 this 42in is more than fairly priced in it's condition. This hobby has become bigger than I ever imagined and mainstream.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with buying a sign and reselling it for whatever you want! Look in both of their completed items! They are selling tons of signs at higher prices and making a living doing so! If your going to throw someone to the wolves, makes sure they have done something wrong first! If they are selling reproductions as originals or schill bidding, I would understand your complaint! BUT.... Ron Bettin has been going around for years buying tons of signs and drastically raising the prices and reselling! Does that make him a bad guy? NO...Just a wise investor! If you want to complain about something worthy of wining over then here...Look at the items that just sold and are now relisted again even tho they just sold? red crown sold!!! Now for sale again for 3K after selling for $1675Also there seems to be alot of new bidders in their auctions bidding everything up BUT NEVER WINNING? SKETCHY! Ill say this again! STOP BUYING FROM THESE PEOPLE unless you enjoy supporting their cause! Both of these sellers are selling on consignment for other people! Most of these signs arent even theirs!!!!!!
