This is a sign currently being sold on ebay as a brand new sign. When a person creates a fantasy sign such as this, it is bound to create problems down the road! Twenty years from now, some new collector will get sold a bill of goods when he is told that this sign was found in grandpas attic 20 years ago. It might be the truth, but the sign will still be a fantasy and someone will get fleeced!
Now, I know there is nothing illegal about it and he has every right to produce these, but it really angers me that he sells enough of these to warrant continued production.
I sure wish there was an answer to this reproduction problem, like mandatory marking of date of manufacture?
Just my rant for the day about a problem that will never go away until the gas and oil collectibles aren't worth anything. I sure hope that never happens, but I feel they are contributing to that end! JM2C

Well put!!! It would be nice to find a way to own the rights to certain gas/oil companies and be like Harley Davidson and just show up at shows and take all the non company items to destroy them.

I agree with you Kevin, anything created today will become a problem later.
But...I remember someone here on OG explaining how he made a wood sign, every detail. Are we not at times adding to this problem?
