Tough one to ID, but going by the top of the pump shown I would say it is a Beacon. It is not shown in my book and I have never identified a tapered skin Beacon, the three shown in my book are all square.

It could be a straight or mish mash of parts. I will pick it up this weekend as the guys asking $250.

Maybe you have a parts pump, if the cylinder is in good shape you can get your money back at least.

Buy it, cylinder alone is worth more than pump price.

Thanks, Phil

I would take the $250 and put it toward a more complete pump, even if you ID it, I doubt you will ever find all the parts that are missing. How much will you really have in it, gas and time to go pick it up, it will take up space while you look for parts.

How about a measurement on that cylinder?

I have 2 WWII jeeps at my house that both had less then 1000 made. One is an USMC Holden ambulance and the other an USMC NOM 12 radio. These aren't the standard jeeps most people have. I have spent the last 5 years collecting parts for them. So if this pump is a Beacon and one of a handful then I see it as a challenge to either find original parts or have my local guys make them. You will see me on TV tonight on Discovery channel on Redwood Kings.

My brother bought two old WWII jeeps to restore with my father when he retired from civil service. My father didn't care anything about the project and never messed with it. He has since passed away...getting to the point. One of the jeeps has since disappeared and the other is parked in a field with a tree growing through it. Life is strange. Dave

It is weird how life goes that way. My last WWII jeep came from a guy who lost intrest and his wife wanted it gone.

See if you can get anymore info from seller where he got it. Then search Library in/near that town for pictures of it in use.
