A picker found me this super rare powerlube Shmaltz sign. I always called them sand painted but Shmaltz sounds better. There is only one version of the sign that I know of that I am missing....paging powerlubepalmer....

If that Chief sign doesn't do it, then nothing will, in my opinion.

Nice sign, Scott!

However, I am wondering why the "TIGER" was not sized a bit larger to be proportional to the LETTERS!

Is this sign done by Powerine Corp?

This is a perfect sign to put in the OG sign repository for future reference

...great sign...as long as we're putting stuff into the 'repository', we might want to make sure we get the term right...it's actually 'smaltz' or 'smalts':

http://www.artisan-signs.net/SmaltsForSigns.php

...'schmaltz' (or Schmaltz, or schmalz, or shmalz) is rendered, (clarified) chicken or goose fat used for frying or as a spread on bread in German, Austrian, Polish and thus by historical extension, to Ashkenazi Jewish cuisine as well...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmaltz

...and 'shmaltz' is from the Yiddish, and means 'exaggerated sentimentalism, as in music or writing':

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/shmaltz

...everyone (myself included) has done it, that's why I looked it up...I knew that someone describing a sappy movie as 'shmaltz' wasn't the same thing as glass beads, so I looked it up...the rendered fat thing I did not know...
