Here are my buys from Escalon. My wife and I had a great time, and the weather was great! I really enjoyed seeing all of the fellow oldgassers. The show had a great turn out and it get's bigger every year. Keep them coming everyone!

Hey everyone, I actually have some buys of the week to put in finally. These are from the auction here yesterday.

I finally got a quart can rack, has a date of 1949 stamped on the back. The four cans I got at the auction too.

Then I decided today to get rid of the rough blue paint, so I took it to the shop and gave it a quick blast and clean up and spray-bomb it green.

And filled with cans.

A coupla grease pails, the bottom one is an upgrade.

I've wanted one of these 5 gallon pails for a few years now.

A nice flat quart, makes about 4 now.

And a box full of smalls.

All in all, had a good day.
Ken.

I picked up these. The rocker arrived on my birthday great piece. Thanks Neil. The Marathon also has my state on which I thought was very interesting. It is just a book from the 1941 State fair but the graphics were great on it.

A nice QS clock just in time for St. Paddy's Day. Outer glass is a little dirty but have not taken it apart yet.

These were all items that I had delivered to me at Peotone!
I bought the Cities Service globe from another Old Gasser and the lenses are dead mint!
The Phillips globe came from Scott Banjamins web site and was delivered by Lonnie Hop!
I've had this clock for some time but it needed repairs and Mick was finally able to find the original parts that he needed to make it work again!

Both of these items came from the Morphy sale at Peotone.

I've always liked this Oak Motor Oil sign and when it sold fairly reasonably, I stuck my hand up!
My plan with the street sign is to take it apart and use the BUFFALO part of it on the wall next to my Buffalo globes!

I had purchased this "Peggy" horse in Milwaukee during the spring Peotone show and wasn't able to transport it until now!
The previous owner is pretty darn good with restorations and I dropped off an Eco Islander for him to work on over the summer! I'll be picking it up this fall when I head back for Peotone again!

Last piece is this wonderful, original paint Tokheim 850 that came from the Lowry Oil Company bulk plant in North Carolina!
I was lucky in the fact that both Tom and John already had nice 850's, and were willing to let me purchase this one from the bunch of bumps that we brought back!
Its very evident that this pump has been inside for the majority of its life, as the internals are still painted and clean like they were when it was in use! No rust issues, and a really solid old 850!! Glad to have it in my collection!

Almost forgot to add these 2 pump plates that came from the same place as the 850! I needed a few items for the memory books! LOL

I became a member of the "40" club today!!! X2 in the pic= W-40 & T-40!
I think it was a Shell pump.
Frame corners and base are in great shape but the top is cracked where the visigauge comes out and 1 corner on one of the face plates is broken too.

Some really nice Buys & Keep digging everyone!!!!

I received a call from a auto mechanic saying he had a old gas pump on his property. I brought a friend along for the ride and he liked the pump so much I let him buy it.

...you might check 1930's-1940's photos of Firestone dealers...I believe they used some of these short Wayne pumps...I found this image (click and scroll down):

http://ajaxallpurpose.blogspot.com/2010/01/1940s-50s-automotive-art.html

...no, it's not EXACT...but I'm sure I've seen an original photo with these shorties...

Mark, the pumps in the link are Wayne 72-R made for Firestone. I have never seen a short Wayne 60 used for Firestone, but you never know they could have.

Good friends are really hard to come by but good friends with a extra set of OEM Wayne 40A skins!!! I wonder what's the odds of that?? I'm just glad I found a good friend much less the rest!!!!
Couldn't find the other side but that was just today. It's under the pine needles somewhere.

SSP, 26"X36" and is almost mint. Taken from a Standard bulk plant and has never been hung.

This was a Shell original.

Some great finds.

Ken. That rack is for glass quart oil bottles with the spouts attached. Not for quart cans. That's why there is all that space between the quarts. Oil can racks usually have three rows of cans.

Dave, thank you for the info, makes sense now as I was wondering about the two rows instead of three.

Picked up a few things today. The clock is a smaller size.I found the Southern States fan today to go with the sign that I have had for a few years.
