I traded a Nice one off years ago for an original cylinder foundation castings for the Roman.

IF you have a Bad Tube, you either Jump Up for this OR repair what ya have. I've not heard of anyone offering a Replacement.
Originals are 2 pcs steel [1 is Galv] stamped & rolled at same time.

They were at 877.00 most of last week. I would guess bidding is fixing to take off.

I don't think the West Coast or Midwest guys who have them all lined up in their barn already should bid:). Maybe somebody will get lucky south of the Mason Dixon line;) Kevin you stick with a nice display Pumps.

CRAZY----CRAZY----CRAZY, I guess! $3525 with an hour and a half left!
NOW we know why those Romans command so much money! The skins alone are worth over $3500!
Wonder where the dust will settle at?

To restore a vintage airplane, you have to prove to FAA that approx. 12" of the frame is what you claim it is.
30 years ago a local plane mechanic found the remains of a crashed fixed gear #1 Stagger Wing w/ split rudder [owned by ETHYL CORP when it crashed]. He was able to prove it & almost had it finished when he died of cancer. Plane was finished & is now displayed in the Stagger Wing Museum in Tullahoma, TN.

Rare brass era cars have been rebuilt with just the frame, all new coachwork, and are still original, doesn't make sense to me?

My favorite plane of all time DB, Ive seen video's it at the museum, would like to see it in person, and hope to own a D Model before I die!

So what is the magical part one needs to have before a pump is not a repro?
Maybe the head like on an 800? Fancy skin on roman? Or the cast dual head on a twin???

Must be something, as it seems OK if you add just about anything else, like a base, skins, hats, hangers, cylinders, visi-guages and list goes on??????

Wanted early tin litho signage.
petro, farm, auto, etc.
