I would like to hear from a "Super-Texaco" collector about the quality of this sign? How close is it to the ORIGINAL?

Thanks,

Hen

Heck, as far as that price goes....some people pay many, many thousands of dollars these days for a NEW photograph...so, with that in mind, whats a few hundred for a sign, if you can't afford (or don't want to shell out for) an original.

Thats what I meant. It clearly states its a reproduction and yet someone is shelling out $ 370.00 + since it has a couple days to go.

With what most ebay sellers are asking for Garage painted pumps [None are Selling] 2-3X what they are really worth, it don't surprise me that some are buying Repop signs!

The only obvious thing I see is that it appears the red ring may be narrower then the original because for sure there is to much black around the outer edge. And the flange is not white as an original.

stated clearly, buyers apparently don't care or don't read

"This sign, which was originally made in the 1920's, is a reproduction - probably made sometime between the late 70's to early 90's".

I was able to find the ORIGINAL photo of this sign.

Thanks for the heads up for the note above!

Hammer down: $329.22 (13 bids)

IMO, not a bad price for a sign that was made for its time as stated by "Jamie P" above.

I think its a LOT of money for something that is a "copy", "fake", however you want to name it.
