Good evening folks. Just thought I would post a few pics of the latest restoration job I am doing for a friend of mine. I just finished painting the outsides of the panels last night. I'm going to do a little polishing and then I will deliver them Monday or Tuesday night. I will get some finished pics when he gets it all put together displayed with the air meter I did before Christmas and the island he built. Here are the progress pics.

Thanks Brian, it was painted, it was in quite nice shape. It would have displayed quite nicely as is, but the owner wanted it restored, so that's what I did.
It started out dark blue with white doors, which I am thinking was North Star, and 2 coats of yellow with the Shell decals on it, so it was preserved underneath quite well, only one small rust spot on the bottom of one of the side panels and a little rust on the top insert where the globe ring would go. I delivered the panels to him last night and he was quite excited to get them back. I would bet that he'll have it pretty much back together by the weekend, I'll go over Saturday and find out.
Ken.

Thanks guys, it's a great advantage to work at a bodyshop that gives you free run of the shop after hours, most of us that work there always have projects of some kind that we work on. For myself, I don't have a garage to work in anymore so this is where I work on my own stuff. As I said, we are fortunate the owners and manager's let us do that there and we respect that and don't abuse the privilege.

Hello all, I finally got over to my friend Bruce's to take some finished pics of his pump and air meter that I had painted for him. Hope you enjoy. By the by, the pics are cropped off at the bottom so we can't see the bottom of the pump, meter or his island.

Nice work & a Great combo , excellent job.
But man if I found one that good in original condition I would have been tempted to display it as is .Not taking anything away from your restoration which is super. Now that I have my first pump restored this month, I am liking the original rough & aged look more and more. And that's where I am heading on my next one.Keep up the great work.

Nice paint job and the finished product looks great as a white rose pump. The air meter looks good as well. Thanks for sharing.
