Hello everyone!
I collect a variety of vintage items and do collect various gas memorabilia.
I do have a few questions but will tackle them one at a time right now.
First,I have acquired several Veeder Root mechanical computers. I am not all that familiar with them.
The one set I have I would appreciate any help on this.
Thhis particular computer is marked "The Head For Figures" with the last patent date of 1962. It seems to say it is a model number of 575,517.
What gas pumps were these originally used in? How long were these computers used, till about what year?
I would appreciate any info on this. Thanks,Ray

Thanks guys!
Thanks Dick Bennett, the link you sent was especially helpful. Now I know I have the 56A model. I have several matter of fact.

Now I have another question which I think will be much harder to answer.
I have several sealed un-opened envelopes I am refusing to open. On the envelope is printed:
Kit No. 312020-597

I came across another kit number which is very close to this kit number and it is a "Price Setting Kit" for VR-10 and 2002E computers.
Is this the same kit I have?
Anyone knows?
Thank you for any information on this.

Just open the envelopes...it's only veeder-root stuff. Won't effect value.

I thought about opening one up,but if I was to sell them,I learned long ago that people like to buy original un-opned items over an open package.

The designs (most of them) are just like the 1949+ style you have there. I am guessing those are transparent?
