I am in need of computer face screws. Any head, any length so long as the thread is correct. As far as I have seen the veeder root meters all use the same thread. Please PM me if you have some to spare. I can't seem to match the thread at our ACE hardware. Thanks, Todd.

I got some off of ebay a couple years ago. I do not remember the correct thread size but send me your address and I will send you some.

Todd, great question. When or if you find out length, thread, etc please let me know. I usually end up finding something close in the spare parts bin in the garage.

I always had this problem too, until one day a man smarter than me, told me to simply use a 8-32 tap and change the thread to something simple! It seems those little screws were some kind of thread of their own size and you couldn't buy them anywhere! Fixed that with a simple tap and die set and now I have no problems! LOL

The threads are 8-36, a size that's hard to find....anywhere. I always wondered why in the world they used that thread on those but I always run a 8-32 tap in them as Kevin said and use screws from my box.....GB

Thank you to everyone for your ideas. I hope to get a few from Wes but as those are used up I may try that out. Good to know for future projects. Thanks, Todd.

I'm afraid they didn't use metric fasteners here in the US during the time period these computers were produced. I'm not saying they don't fit?? But they surely weren't metric back in the day.
