What a great thermometer! I was gonna bid when it was at $1250, but didn't bother knowing it would probably go for twice that.. And it did!

This is the second time i ever saw this peice. the first time was in 1992 at the shell roxana refinery in roxana, il when they had ther short lived swap meets. i know the guy who sold it to another guy i know who bought it. the guy that bought it paid 800 bucks for it in 1992, and had a buyer for it in ca. the reserve on this one looked like it was 2500.00.
