This PURE station was once a few blocks away from my house. Today it's a parking lot.

This might be a weird question but how can you tell that it is a pure station other than the signs and other memorabilia that is outside. Did certain companies have certain architectural styles for their buildings.

Once you look at a bunch of old Pure oil stations you can tell as yes they were famous for their Cottage style stations. And you kind of answered your own question....Yes certain Gas/Oil companies took the time for different designs to make their stations stand out from all the others.
