I know people can ask what they want. I'm fine with all that. Truly I am. Hey knock yourself out. But just as they have the right to do that, I to have the right to laugh. I mean how many cylinders are these people running on?
I'm starting to think there is something in the water in Jersey. J/K Jersey guys, I'm just killing some time before I leave for Gulf. I mean golf. Damn this hobby gets in ya!

Actually seems reasonable compared to other items I've seen.

Hell, it isn't just ebay... I look at the prices that are posted on Oldgas, regularly now... And shake my head in wonder and start chuckling...

After prices are dropped 3 or 4 times, instead of shaking my head... I just laugh harder!!!!

So, Steve ...

What kind of price tag would you put on this, if it was yours?

Just curious!

Hey Hen, Hope all is well?
In order to answer your question, I would first have to consider how I came to possess it.
Lets assume I bought it. So on the negative side it's only 8 x 20. So it's not that big and it's beat to living hell. On the positive it dates to the 40's and there are probably not many of them out there. So the most I could ever see myself paying for it in this condition would be like $200 bucks. But remember also, I'm a cheap A$$. If the planets aligned, maybe a little more. So that being the case, and then assuming I went to sell it, i would be happy with $300. If I had an upgrade or something to replace it and I could only get my $200 back out of it that would be fine too. I would consider the time having owned it and enjoyed it my profit.
Of course I would like to make a little on a piece, but I'm not making a living at it.
I just dont see this as being anywhere near a $775 dollar piece and a little common sense or a little ebay searching should tell even the most naive seller that same thing.

Steve,

Thanks for the “detailed + Fair” reply. I like your way of analyzing things.

I think you are more than generous Steve. I wouldn't give $50 bucks for it..
