Lucked out Thursday nite......tornadoes came thru western Illinois after they pounded the Iowa City area. There were two of them that came over our part of the woods...
I have a Tokhiem Model 39 by one of the garages w/ a REPO (thank goodness) glass bodied globe in Texaco. A stick from the maple tree blew off and hit the globe, shattering the lens but left the body fine, no damage to it!! I saw this and my first thoughts were 'eh, no biggie' and went back into the house.
As they say...NEVER put originals outdoors!!
Any of you other guys in western Illinois- eastern Iowa pick up any damage last nite??? The warnings are out for the Macomb-Monmouth areas right now, again.....
