Nice sign, surprised that the reserve would have been set as high as it was. Would be interesting to know what the owner valued the sign at.

Is this sign even real??. Seems a bit hokee to me. Why isn't it die cut to the brim. Anyone have a pic of it in its hayday.
see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

It ran thru Barrett Jackson auction twice, once in West Palm and again ad someone mentioned in Scottsdale this year. Interesting how one of the largest advertised auction companies in the world can't get 9k for this sign. Then it comes on eBay and "gets bids" up to 18,900 with reserve not met?!?!?
Extremely interesting bid history to say the least.

dated 1950, isn't that much later than when this company/logo existed?

this is an oldgas members sign. looks like he found a nut too!!! LOL Except he is a collector and NOT a picker... There seems to be LOTS of (pickers)squirrels looking for nuts anymore...Yet they wont claim they are pickers! LOL

Yet they wont claim they are pickers! LOL probably because they do it as part of the hobby... and dont consider it a career path! we all buy, we all sell... its part of the hobby. its what your intentions are with the money that makes a separation... but then again, who cares! buy what you want, sell what you want, keep what you like, and have fun
