I've been wanting to move my Shoppe around on my property and have spent the last month or so involved in getting it done along with finally installing the vinyl flooring in the Shoppe that I have had cut out and ready for about 3 yrs now.
A BIG Thanx to J.M. for bringing over his Freightliner with a 3000lb boom crane that moved my Ford sign and then the Shoppe!! He is the MAN!!! ... and it shows me what I need to get for a truck to get these heavy big beasties and to move them around with!
The Shoppe needed to move because I need to get to the ancient concrete pad that is under decades of summer growth and a good layer of Mt. St. Helen's ash from the eruption in 1980. The 2 pads are 25'X40' each and are left over from Mrs. S.C. Alderman's Creamery that was on my property in the EARLY 1900s. The pad that the Shoppe is on after the move is a cracked up mess but I'm hoping the other is not but I'm figuring on the worst. I'd like to use it for a 30'X40'X14' pole building to be built around it but I'll see if it is useable or if I have to kick down the BIG bucks for a new floor before a new building.
Until then I'm pretty happy with this old piece of local history that was originally the drop support trailer for the EXPO 74 Good Year Blimp team that was here for the 1974 World's fair that was held in Spokane.
Now that this is almost finished, I can get back to finding more cool stuff!
Here is where it has been for a couple of yrs.
...and how I had it moved around to sit about 15 feet from where it was but facing another direction.
Inside a while back...
Now with the new flooring finally installed.
