I know Wolfs head has been around a long time, seen early signs but I cannot ever find any Wolfs head quarts that are all metal, only the composite ones, did they make early round quart all metal ones ?

I have seen an early Wolfs Head quart with the detailed wolf in an American Can Co. promo photo showing dozens of quart oil cans they made in 1934-5.

Good oil cans don't wait for people, people wait for them.

YES they made metal cans...They are just extremely hard to find!
My buddy Wes that passed away had one that I gave him for his birthday. It sold last fall at peotone for around 250 with no lid...It was just like the gallon pictured with the early wolf and wolverine empire...Search Matthews Auction results and you will see it...Good Luck...You might try dave thompson, aaron hopp or scott shippers...They are all can guys smile
