I don't know how it is in the rest of the country but I haven't seen any good pre 1950 pumps for sale in a long time in So Cal, I guess everyone is now holding onto them. I haven't got a pump in years.

You just have to look for them. It takes little luck and persistence, but occasionally good stuff will turn up. Last summer I picked an early G&B clock face pump from a farmers grove of trees(he's still got some 40s pumps in his barn). It all depends on how hard your looking.
