I had a man call me about some old gas pumps on his property so I made a time to go look at them. The property was all grown up and by the time we got around to where the old pumps were, my legs were cut up from the vines and briars. ( If you know me you know I'm usually in shorts and flip flops. ) Not a good idea to be crawling through grass and brush that's 3' high. ( He did warn me of copperheads ) I looked around in the woods for about 30 minutes fighting my way through these old ( approx.) 1970's gas pumps that even had trees growing through some of them, and having no good finds except for a couple of old face plates. The owner pointed to one more spot through the thicket and thought I should go in there. I made my way through and saw an old drink box and next to it were these to K-Mart pump plates, just standing up by an old desk that was left behind by someone........With all that said, you just never know what you may find by the end of the day! I love this hobby!

I'll probably clean them up a bit in a little while....

C'mon Randy! Where's your sense of adventure? laugh

I will say this: I didn't know what I was getting myself into until it was too late to turn back!

very aggressive! And they don't have to be too aggressive with just a piece of rubber on the souls of your feet offering protection!

I think I've only seen two since I've been collecting. They may not be rare and expensive, but I think they would classify as scarce; at least for around this area....
