What do you all make of this?
Why the beat up edge? Glass replaced? Face replaced?
Why does it appear that the glass is not under the lip in some spots?
What about the missing/empty space?
Authentic??

Authentic thermometer. Missing correct glass. Edge has been hammered down to hold wrong glass replacement.

If you want it to read daily temperature.....that's fine. Otherwise I would spend my money elsewhere

see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

glass has definitely been replaced which isn't a easy task on this style sealed thermometer & is impossible to make it look right- don't know how seller could make that statement, (It's an old original with no touch ups or repairs and it's GUARANTEED authentic. I DO NOT sell reproductions)... I beg to differ... cool
