How do I tell if this globe lens is real or a reproduction? My family gave this to my grandfather in the mid 80's.

If its original it should be a 13.5, never made them in 15 as far as I know. There was this design plus a newer version with the word Sinclair in italics. Think they were also made for glass and plastic globe bodies. Not positive if they were reproduced or not.

Thanks for the help, it is 13.5" I am not going to take it out and risk damage, I am just going to hang it anyway. It will be in my garage, will it be okay in an unheated garage in northern Illinois in the winter?

Since most lenses spent their entire lives outside, atop a pump, in all weather.....seems like it should be safe in an unheated garage? Paul www.severngaspumps.com
