Porcelain, tin, even wood Petro signage is fantastic! But, don't forget about paper... Paper/cardboard signage was temporary and in most cases thrown away... For me, it is a real treat to find and display paper signs..

Whether Bus/Trolley signage... Radiator covers... Or purpose advertising... I "love" paper signs! LOL

I would love to find one of these Sunoco signs standing behind this guy. It look like cardboard to me. I could be wrong. Looks like some kind of kettle on a fire or something talking about Mercury made.

It is easy to tell that I am divorced!









The Paramount Tire is a facsimile and there has been a question about the Oilzum sign; as to it being original or a facsimile... I've heard from Hobbyists on both sides of the question...LOL

But, either way, I am happy with it and what I have gathered so far....

So, if one is on a budget or a paper sign catches one's eye... Don't forget about paper...

I'm sure, I'm not the only one who has the "Paper Bug".. So I hope others will share their paper signage....

That would be a great sign to own, Steve... Who knows, maybe someone will read this thread and remember they have such a sign up in an attic?

my experience with dirty or soiled paper/cardboard products is that it won't improve it any. i have done far more damage than improvement when trying to clean paper products, including cardboard signs, paper labeled cans, etc. Most of the time I wished I hadn't tried... even if one area cleans up a little, it won't match the rest of the piece that isn't able to clean up

didn`t try to be that way buy you can tell what Bob and I collect..its the only co we collect so we are partial!!..I know theirs others out there....
