Got me a nice Texaco sign right in my home town of 1200 people thanx to a friend who wanted me to check it out for him.wasnt what he wanted so....it's mine..but...it has some bends...I'm worried about tightening the ring and having it bend more...any suggestions? I think it bent due to the ring loosening off and wind or something...

Great Sign! Not sure you can do about the bends. It's possible that it's been dropped...

Just enjoy it for what it is. Trying to bend it back can cause the porcelain to pop. Then you have a bigger problem.

Nice score Gerry! Very common for 6 footers to have the bowing/bends it's from when they were taken down and dropped to the ground. No way to straighten it. Any attempt to straighten it will result in further porcelain loss.
