I looked at the pictures of the pump and thought to myself that's odd, never seen a 96 series pump without ad glasses. Looked thru Jacks book; that was a non computing clock face pump originally Model G&B 297. Cool pump first manufactured in 1938 so that's the oldest the decals can be 1938 and later.
Wonder if the clock face mechanism is still at the farm somewhere.

Exception of the EGC logo the decals Could have been much older than the pump if they were still in use in 1938.
NOT likely a Clock Mech. would have been changed out to a VR after being installed on a farm, UN-less gasoline was being sold to the general public.
One reason this 96 wasn't in Jack's book is the Publisher Removed several images [& it seems at random], some others could have been removed instead. The publisher is only interested in printing the book, not in being historically correct or showing each variation.
