I have a stupid question....Had a party at my house and someone cranked the reset handle on my Tokheim 39 which caused it to snap something inside so it now just spins, but the metal shield (Don't know the term) is now covering all the numbers. Is there an easy way to get the "shield" to cycle back with out taking this franken pump apart to get to the computer? Again, sorry for my stupidity

...hopefully that's all it is - I was thinking it might be the part the drive shaft fits into, or something inside the computer...

When discussing Tokheim 39's you should always list which 39 you are asking about. There were at least four different 39's made. For more information, see this page of my website: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/tokheim%2039a.htmJack Sim

Same thing happened to one of my Wayne 60's! My Grandpa went over to it and cranked it and broke the drive shaft haha.

Thanks Jack, I know there are a few, and I own your book. So, to be exact, its a tall...cut to a short....aka "Franken Pump". I looked in the service door and can see that the drive shaft must be broken as it is not spinning after the center link.

OK..FIXED
Took the rear door off....BEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! After that awesome incident, I noticed the cotter pin on the reset shaft was missing (Snapped), replaced it and its back to normal. I'd add a pic, but this forum only allows pics from 1983 and the file converter I quickly downloaded had a virus....So, no pic.
Thanks again!
