Ok... Here we go again on the ethyl pump plate. I posted this under the 2 year old thread and only had one response that it looks real. I am looking for value of a repo and original and will post that under the value forum with the same 2 pics so I am in compliance with guidelines. Real deal or repop?
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I thought I'd let you know that I voted Original in your poll. I'm not expert on the value of this plate, but I DO know where it came from, and can vouch for the "originality" of that location. I find the discussion of what the "value" of an item to be somewhat humorous.(This will probably frost a few hard core collectors out there!) I find the value of an item to be only what someone is willing to pay for the item. Some of the items I find listed, I find little or no value (to me), but other buyers will shell out big bucks. Granted I will admit that I haven't been at this long and I understand your concern that the plate is not original. I can't guarantee that the plate is original, (again I'm no expert). But I can guarantee that if you are not satisfied with the plate, send it back to me. I will happily refund your money minus what I spend on freight shipping it to you, (then I will hang it back on my shop wall). IF you are satisfied that the plate is original and you received what you expected, I would appreciate you stating so on Old Gas so that all will know. I will tell you that after I took the picture I found out that that grey smudge at the top of the plate was paint that I removed with my thumbnail. So the plate is already better than pictured. Thanks Jon Patton (JR Pat)
