Time Passages and Gas Pump Heaven would be my best guess.

Ryan: It`s been my experience that the repro bodies have only one lens notch on each half. All of the original bodies I`ve had, have 2 notches on each half. Hope this helps.----Greg Brown

I was going to post the same thing brownoil did but didn't have time earlier. It's been my experience that this is the best way to spot a reproduction. With more experience you can usually tell without even looking at the notches.

Oh Yea! On the topic of copyrighting something that is not an original idea of the person doing the copyrighting I made my feelings know in an earlier post having to do with some globe maker claiming old oil company logos as their own and copyrighting them. If they can justify what they are doing I'd like to hear it. If they are going to start suing people over plastic bodies then I will not buy anything, ever again from whoever this may be. I'm sick of the suing and the copyrighting and the BS of the greedheads who think they might make an extra dollar off this hobby. If my only option becomes buying something I feel was highjacked from the hobby using these techniques, I won't buy it. I'll find originals. If however the people who bought the "original" molds felt that some exclusivity to the product name was implied with that purchase then they may have legal standing that could justify their actions. Just copying an old logo and claiming it as your own is a tactic that I will never support.

...gosh...can't anyone just give us a 'People's Court' intro, to tell us who the defendant(s) and plaintiff(s) are, and what the case is about?

...have we gotten to the point where we can't even do THAT, without fretting about the legal consequences?

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

You'll get no"defendant(s)and plaintiff(s)" from me. The last thing I need is a lawsuit!
And I ask for unanimous consent to revise and extend my remarks.

The focus of this topic is about Capco globe body issues. Please don't go "off-topic" with additional comments about copyright concerns not directly related to this Capco discussion. Thanks.

Hey Seth, you seem to be the only person out there with a level head. I find it very discussting that anyone would name names, such as in the post above without any proof. I don't think any of should be "GUESSING" abut anything. Can you give us an idea what is going on without naming names?

It has always been the truth, that when people or organizations operate in secrecy they are up to no good...........
