Gatorgaspumps asked a computer question I do not have an answer to; Does this pump use the same computer as most others in this time period..1951..the 12" standard crankback? All logic says it should ...but I do not know for sure. Thanks Joe

The pump is a Bowser 22 "Siamese Rol-Way" twin pump that I'm thinking about buying. I have spare meters just wanted to know if they will fit. Also did it take a different face plate? I have not seen the pump in person yet but it looks like the meters could be offset back to back. Anyone got one? Richard

This pump could be a 22 or a 22B. The service manual I have for this pump shows the computers to be offset. I had one of these 20 years ago and if I remember correctly they used the standard computer for their day. I have the Service Manual, Sales Literature and Ads available on my website: www.petrolianacollectibles.com Jack Sim Author, Gas Pump Identification book and Air Meter Identification book
Author, 1st & 2nd editions of Gas Pump ID book, 3rd edition is now available at www.gaspumpbible.comAir Meter ID book also available

I didn't think about that... GATOR..... The faces on this pump would both be totalizer faces since you can not read the other side of the computer....and the answer was staring me right in the face ,from the picture....DUH!!!!!
I need to change my name to D'OH! Yocom Thanks for the light bulb overhead Dick, Joe

2 seprate VR's. Most likely was a single side VR when pump left factory, as the other side was not needed. But when replaced by service company, a standard VR was probably used.

Here is a non computer....kinda like what Dick is talking about. Since the bank of wheels weren't needed they were not used. Since the price was not needed, the drive for the computer is under the variator top plate. The rest of the gears were not needed. I still can't figure out why it has changeable price wheels... it was in an ERIE pump. [This message has been edited by jkyocom (edited 09-18-2007).]

NO. ALL wheels were needed on the totalizer side, including the Price per gal. No wheels on opposite side.

You are correct....the computers would only have the wheels that are needed.Like this non computer has only the wheels/parts that are needed.I wasn't implying the computers in the Bowser should look like this one.

My 5ft Bowser does have faces that say Rol-Way on them i wodered about that as I think it has a normal hanging hose on it.
Looks like the difference is only the Rol-way script near the bottom.
