I know this is a total longshot, but here goes. I am searching for any signage from Marv's Auto Salvage, Inc. based in Schaller, Iowa.

Marv was my dear friend's grandfather. She spend tons of time as a child exploring his salvage yard. I just saw a magnet from there and wondered if anyone had signage or anything.

The address was 2188 Dean Ave, Schaller, Iowa 51053.

I am pretty sure anything is rather generic looking, but I am hoping to find it.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thank you!!!!!!

If you don't have luck finding an original sign see if she's got a picture of an original sign. You should be able to find a local paint guy who can re-create the sign details and age it to look appropriate.

It's tough to find such one-of-a-kind local signs because there may not have been more than a few made. Also, depending on the era, it may have been a local sign painter who made them rather than a big operation.

I have a picture of a magnet, but that is all. I am trying to load it to be resized, but something keeps going wrong with my password. I will keep trying.

I will also post on their Craigslist. The place is still around I guess. My friend's grandfather passed and apparently her uncle then took the place over at some point, but he later lost it to the bank. I am not trying to ask too many questions as keep it a bit of a surprise.

Thanks.
