The guy knows he made a mistake with those incidents. We all make mistakes. I say give him a break. Met Joey and Anthony in Iowa. Bought something from them and sold them something as well. All is good in my book as far as dealing with them.
Buying and selling for profit seems to rub some people the wrong way but these guys are coming up with good items. If you don't like how they operate avoid them. Fortunately or unfortunately these younger guys are the future of the hobby. As more and more disappears into collections there is clearly a demand for what they bring to market. I've been collecting myself for 15yrs and love to buy and sell more now than when I started. Now wheres that beating a dead horse cartoon!

Thank you!

I'm confused... why acknowledge that to you, and not to the buyer? Why not admit the mistake when he was called out for it in the thread the buyer started? If he had done that, then "most" people here would have chalked it up as a mistake/learning experience for him. I know I would. I don't understand that.

The "red paperclip" deal will never be forgotten. That's just one of the "memorable" moments in oldgas history. Sorry.

I'd buy from you Joey. You seem like a good guy. Have reasonable prices. Leave some "meat on the bone" for the next guy. Your just caught up in the drama involving your brother.

As for the infamous redhot, not sure I can afford/justify spending $2500 for a $500 sign. Which is an example of his markup and is usually the case for all his stuff. My loss. I'll be the one that buys the same sign from the next guy, in better condition, for $500.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? He’s a mile away and you’ve got his shoes

I'll pass on that. All of what I know about him stinks. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

What happens when you say you'll make a deal to walk in those (Indiana's) shoes... then you put those shoes on ebay before you actually receive the shoes.... then the deal falls through and you never got the shoes? Do you look like a fool for listing the Powerlube sign... err... I mean shoes?

This is like rubbing salt in a wound. Irritating and boring. I'm done reading this post. We need to move on. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Mark, Thank you for starting this thread as a reminder to all on here how much we will miss a number of members when they are gone. And here we are a few days later and DB is gone.

It saddens me to think this thread started as a reminder to all those on Old-Gas that whether or not we agree with another member, there still needs to be some respect given to those that helped bring this Hobby to where it is today.

What saddens me the most is that a few could not follow your lead and right away went to attack mode to defend themselves when this thread had "NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM"

And though I can not share DB's Comment, it was those exact same thoughts he expressed!! Rest in Peace DB Godspeed my friend!

Thanks
Mike

Always Looking for any Pure Oil and Sunoco Items.
