I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the old gas members in their donations, outpouring of love, prayers, and respect, and wonderful comments for our friend Dick. Jim please sent my first donation to Judy and the second one that I just sent is for OldGas . Thank you for your willingness to help Judy out during this difficult time.

Just to let you know, the total is nearing $3000 for Dick Bennett's widow, Judy. I'm amazed by all the small and large donations and all the kind words posted on the other DB topic. I guess I shouldn't be amazed as he apparently meant something special to many people. Thanks!

It feels a little like I'm sitting at the table at the end of the movie, "It's A Wonderful Life."

You mean like this?

Each man's life touches so many others. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he? "It's a Wonderful Life"

I am sure there were plenty of members that donated without commenting on this thread as well. The generosity of this group in the time of need is by far the best anybody could dream of. I am proud to be a part of this group! Good job gang!!

Thanks to everyone for their donations. The total came to $3750. I'm sure Judy can put that to good use. And it will show that Dick Bennett really meant something to a whole bunch of people from all over. Significant donations were received from petro enthusiasts who did not post in this topic.

Thanks also for all the heartfelt words in the main Dick Bennett topic:

Jim, I just finished sending a donation that will round up that figure to an even $4000.00.

I'm also impressed by everyone's generosity and sincere heartfelt respect for our friend Dick BENNETT.
