Only got to spend 1 day at Dixie Gas, but had a great time. Seemed to be quite a few drink signs there this go around.

I have seen a few of these. Not sure how rare they are to be honest. They never seem to bring a ton when they sell at auction. Would like to see one up close not sure if it is porcleain or wood.

They are single sided to the best of my knowledge. Matthews had one at auction at the beginning of the year or late last year.

Both Mobil signs in question are mine. I had never seen either before. Bought them at auction a few years ago, I knew they were foreign but didn't know from where. Brought them to the show just to see if there was any interest. There sure was! But nobody stepped up. The shield is double sided painted tin. Has two holes at the top for hanging.

Sorry about the sideways pictures. New computer, still a pain in the butt.
As always Dixie was a great show. The show seemed to end earlier because of the threat of bad weather. I talked to a few vendors that stayed threw Saturday and they were glad that they had. They indicated good sales. I heard from several of the vendors that were invited to the dinner and presentation on Thursday night that they enjoyed the evening.

This was a great show this year had fun meeting lots of new people and seeing some of the old. Tons of good buys this time too. Started crazy early the first day I arrived at about 5 to set up (sun rise wasn't til 7) and i felt late to the party. I talked to one vendor that set up at 2 A.M.!

LOL Henry, had to get a photo of my sleeping arrangement for night one. Some of us poor boys can't afford hotel rooms. And I was up at 4:30am the first morning already selling to buyers and it did not slow down until about 2pm that afternoon. Always a great show

It looked like a luxury sleeping arrangement to me. Five star hotel under the stars.
The first time I set up at Dixie, I came in about one in the morning. Unloaded until about three and since it was such a nice night I lied on the ground to sleep. A few hours later I found out what a heavy dew was like. Already had my bath before I woke for the day. For the next several years I would pull enough out of the van so I had a place to sleep, then a friend suggested splitting the cost of a cabin. It is nice to have ac after a long hot day.

Bryce, I agree. Judging from pics is always tough but this show had a lot of variety and I dare say maybe more than IG. The pictures of all the signs on poles shows that ARW didn't corner the market after all. Funny someone posted that Richfield specialized lubrication rack a couple of months ago and comments were about its scarcity and never having been seen. And now we see one here (is it same one?). There is never just one of something is there?
Henry as always your pictures are a great inside look at the action.
