Is this a real. I was wondering because of all the mounting holes (8). Never seen one with this many mounting holes. I suppose a drill coulda been used on it to add the holes. Measures 16 - 1/2" x 11".

check completed listing on this item, somebody must of thought it made it a little more authentic by adding more mounting holes...

yes i've seen those many a times. so there were no real 16.5 x 11's ever made other than the repop's, correct?

Correct. That is what evidence has shown.

and looking at this more carefully.........suspect on the 4 other holes. more porcelain pop their than the other holes where i'm sure the grommets were/are

Also, you have to ask your self, how was it used? Most United Motors signs Ive seen were big identification signs to stick out from the building, or smaller wall mounted signs that advertised a specific United Motors product or service. On this one, I can't think of a specific use, so thats a red flag...
