Hello everyone -

We have this beautiful, near mint Mobil Pegasus metal sign. It was unfortunately damaged by movers (two small bends to the end of the upper wing) and we are trying to establish a value assuming the damage had not occurred.

Can anyone help with this or point us in the right direction?

Thank you!

But the damage "did occur" and will be preseent for resale. Or are you claiming some type of insurance for the damage?

Can you give us a picture of the back and any markings that are on Pegasus. What are the dimensions?

luminor, you're right, we're trying to determine the value not to sell, but to reach a settlement with the movers who damaged it.

And gasman, the back is plain gray metal (it has screw holes for wall mounting), no further markings besides the pegasus, and it's approximately 38" wide and 30" tall. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help, everyone!

We certainly need more information on the sign as others have mentioned. My first thoughts looking at the small photo is the sign is a reproduction due to the wide white outer edge. I could be wrong but if you furnish some better close up pics and some dimensions we could be of more help.

Please post larger pictures of the damage, any small lettering near the bottom and a picture of the back.

This might be a question you don't want an answer to. You might just be better off assuming it's authentic and checking ebay for past sales.

I agree 100% with this statement. Never seen an original with mounting hole. A nice repop can be had for around 200 bucks
