So I got a line on this clock recently. Haven't seen it in person yet. Black T makes it what, 40's or earlier? I see no writing along the bottom in this pic. Unfortunately this is the only pic I have at the moment. Real or repop?? My guts saying repop. Value?

Dave what are you doing up this early! What is it, like 2 in the morning there?? FWIW, how do you know this is repop? Is there a tell tale sign?

Texaco never made an original Pam style clock. The logo predates the clock design.
You're right...I better get some sleep. Too many years of working shift work (4 days on and 4 days off, 12 hour shifts, two day shifts (6am-6pm), and 2 night shifts (6pm-6am).

Anyone else note how the 'white' reverse color is off a few shades on these modern clocks?

I agree it is a fantasy piece. And not to add to the confusion...I do know that there were advertizing pieces made by people that were not licensed or made by Texaco. I had a clock/display that came from a Texaco station that the dealer's father had made for his station. The son, who is in his 70s, told me he rememebred them being in the 5 or 6 Texaco stations they had. I bought one and had it "restored"...It looks phony as heck...but it looked nice. I should have taken the clock apart and put a new decal on it. Again, it is not licensed or made by Texaco...but I liked it.
