You don't need to put them on a pallet. Ask them what is cheaper.

There are brokers that quote multiple shippers at once. I use the same brokers all the time but the actual shipper is different. Try FreightQuote.com, theres another but I cant remember the name right now. Open a free account, you'll need type in start and end locations, if its going to a residence or business, lift gate needed or not. Use code 125 as the freight class, thats what i typically use for pumps. If you can ship to a business with a dock, it'll save you like 30%. Itll list about a dozen carriers you can pick from. For unrestored gas pumps, I probably go with the cheapest carrier that has a decent reputation. I havent tried shipping without a crate or pallet, I not sure if there required or not. The people at freight quote are nice but a little overzealous, whenever I quote a job they always call me to ask if i need their assistance.

I use North American also. I have had pumps shipped from all over the country, just have the buyer wrap in a blanket and shrink wrap, no pallet required and have never had one damaged. They pick up at their location and unload at your door. Reasonably priced and quick service. Use the option for shipping arcade games and such.
Thanks, Phil _________________________________________________ Looking for any old pumps, or nice 5 gallon cans.

Well, I started to post at the beginning and affirm NAVL. You do nothing they come they wrap in blankets shrink wrap etc, but then I re- read 'parts pumps' and did not post. Is it many pieces all loose? NAVL is the best for complete pumps not sure on pieces and parts

Snce they are just parts pumps - If seller will band/wrap on a pallet then just put it on uship.com

this is what he needs delivered, I personally don't think the freight charges will be worth it. I'm working with him.

I agree with Signs&Neons.....Get a quote from Uship. When you list with Uship, you can set a maximum $$ value that you'll pay. . I've used it many times for shipping pumps and signs. You may get lucky and have someone heading the right direction with only a partial load.

I have used LandAir a few times and found them to be very reasonable. We shipped 3 Gilbarco 96s from east TN to northern Maine for $110.00. The shipper picked up at our loading dock and had zero issues. Very easy to deal with.

Yep, uship was the other shipping broker I was thinking of but couldnt remember the name. If your trying to find the best deal, I would get quotes from both uship and freightquote.

I'm having a sign delivered from Mass to Texas in a couple of weeks, call me and I'll give you the number of the guy that's doing the job for me. I'm not making any promises, but it's worth a shot.
