Hello all, to clear up any confusion regarding questions of an auction to be held in conjunction with the fall Peotone show....YES, it is happening. The auction will be held Friday, October 17 at the Will county fairgrounds in the same facility as the show. Rory Brinkman is putting on the event at the invitation and with the blessing of the promoters. Any who attended Columbus were able to experience first hand the professionalism and quality he brought to that auction. Rory and I met for a couple hours while at Dixie gas to discuss the feasibility of putting this event together in such a short period of time. He commented several times on the overwhelming amount postitive feedback from the Columbus auction and that SO MANY guys expressed a desire to continue the tradition of an auction held in conjunction with the Peotone show. Despite the daunting logistics and short window of time, we decided to go for it and make it happen. My role in working with Rory is to help bring in quality consignments and to promote the event among the community. For those on the fence, please plan to be in attendance of both the show and auction. It will be worth your effort. For those not able to attend, please plan to follow the auction online and the show results posted here on oldgas. There have already been many quality consignments but we are looking for more. If you have items you would like to consign, please contact me via email at canosaurus@hotmail.com or call/text at 615-210-5428. Rory can be reached via email at rorybrinkman@earthlink.net or call/text at 612-581-9189. We will be posting specifics regarding auction details and online information very soon. Thank you for the many inquiries, encouraging comments and for supporting these great events and hobby, canosaurus Dave Thompson.

Gentlemen: As my counterpart Dave Thompson has already mentioned there will be an auction at Fall Peotone. Peotone has always been a wonderful show/auction and we feel honored to be associated with it for Kevin and Tim as show promoters are a first class act. Dave and I are quickly putting this auction together and are content with the quality of the submissions thus far. If you would like to consign please contact either Dave or me. The auction will be Friday, October 17th starting 10:30 AM at Fairgrounds Building in Peotone. There will be a 10% Buyers Premium Cash/Check 12% if paying by Credit Card and 15% Internet/Absentee. We are looking for quality consignments and want to do everything possible to earn your respect and trust.
I will be posting some of the highlights later this afternoon to our Proxibid account and will provide a link once it's ready. We also have a PDF of the auction flyer. If anyone knows if it's possible to post it on this site please let me know. Regards, Rory 612-581-9189

Couple updates. Suggestion was made to start auction a little later as many travel early that morning. We decided to move start time to 12:00 noon. This will give people a chance to get there and still finish early enough to eat a good meal. We will have between 200-250 lots and are working on taking/posting pictures of items already consigned. Rory will be posting a link shortly. We are still looking for quality consignments. There are some great items already consigned. Will be a quality auction worth attending/following online. Thank you again for the support.

**Auction Update** Just wanted to let everyone know that the auction is coming together very quickly. We have about 125 quality items already consigned and plan to have about 250 total. The auction is going to start at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Friday October 17th and should end by 4:30 pm. We're still looking for more quality pieces so if you have anything you would like to consign to this historically well attended event please do not hesitate to contact Dave or myself. Here's the link to some of the highlights already consigned: Regards, Rory https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=85722

Roy, Lot 75 is a globe... do you mind in your auctions letting us know of any scratches or chips and also if it's complete? You post a pic of 1 side and the description doesn't say anything about 2 lenses. Thanks
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Jarvis, I sincerely appreciate the input and will be adding the additional information. Please understand that we're just trying to get items posted as quickly as we can in a limited amount of time so people realize there is a Peotone auction. I plan to get additional information from the consignors and will post it as it is received per item. More pieces will be posted in the next few days..we should hopefully have about 225-250 quality items. Regards, Rory
