Good morning gang!

I am buttoning up a few things around the shop. I am going to load my skid steer onto the trailer and head out to the cabin at some point today. Hopefully a little early...

Have a good day everybody!

Morning all! Busy day for me!
Old Gasser, Mike Hudson from Colorado, arrived last night to do some architectural salvage on an old grain elevator just NE of town. You might remember the Warden and I taking a bunch of the stamped steel siding off, a couple years back! He and his helper will be here for a week, so I'll be helping him when I can.Should be interesting work.
Weather continues to be excellent, but I think a temperature drop is coming next week?
Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Morning all. Making plans for a last second trip tomorrow to the Indy Ad show, it will be my first time attending - excited to see what it has to offer.

Kevin, thats neat. My wife and I really enjoy & appreciate any type of architectural salvage or reuse of quality material from older buildings. Hopefully he is able to salvage quite a bit from that.

Actually, our new house was built using some materials that were salvaged from industrial buildings. The siding is 100-year old wood shakes from the roof of an old warehouse, along with some weathered stamped steel skirting. Every door & window in the house was salvaged from industrial teardowns & remodels. Most of the interior & patio brickwork was done using bricks pulled up from a road in a city nearby, old ladders for bookshelves, etc.

Fantastic looking house, Bryce!

Rain has finally come to the PNW... Most all of the wildfires are either completely out or close to it... Great fall weather, here....

Thanks, here's a couple more pictures. Once we get all moved in maybe I'll write up a post in regards to the materials that were used, etc. The builder did an amazing job reusing some of the materials that he did. Its a very unique house... especially for this area. I've even got the 'OK' to put a gas pump inside... cause with the style of the house - it will fit right in.

That would be cool,
you must have a great imagination to come up with some great ideas like that
It is nice to see a home so uniquie, around here there are a lot of cookie cutter homes
