Not sure if this subject has already been addressed? But, either way... I want to say, great looking Collection, Luke!
I received my Oct issue of PCM and on page 16 is an excellent blurb on Luke and a few images of his large collection of 2 gal cans...
I wondered how in the world one displays over 570, two gallon oil cans?... The method you have come up with; is not only pleasing to the eye. But, makes great use of space...

its a tremendous collection, and in my limited experience with cans - nice condition 2gal cans surface far less often than quarts. so to build a collection of that quality would take some serious time & diligence.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Very few collectors focus much on 2 gallons, and I always loved how the cans looked on display, so I set out on the journey that lead here. Someday, I hope to eventually have very known 2 gallon can. The collection would never have been possible with ought the help of all the collectors who have sold me cans, given leads, advice, etc.

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Also, I would like to thank Wayne Henderson & Scott Benjamin for doing such a nice job on the article, and Keith Elza for supplying the photos.

... and Keith Elza for supplying the photos. Now I have to laugh as Luke couldn't post his collection because he didn't have a camera!! Thanks PCM. Nice collection Luke.

I have 2 Sunoco 2 gallons, both the common ones. I am actively searching for the old "big diamond" logo one.

Luke, there is another tough to find one. Or at least I believe it is. I've only seen two come across ebay in my 2 1/2 year. It looks just like the blue Mercury Made with the yellow striping, but it doesn't say Mercury Made. It just says Motor Oil. I have one copyright 1937. I also have in my collection one of the old big diamond ones your talking about, but she's a little rough. But until I find a nicer one, she'll do! Good luck hunting!!!
