Thanks for the compliments on the mobil. I still got more to go through. Was a great weekend overall even though my aircraft sign is now gone frown

Few things I picked up recently. The BA sign is a repro but at 28" in diameter it will display nicely outside above my garage door with a goose neck light fixture lighting it up! Also got a BA uniform patch & bill fold. The GMC Key sign is by far my favorite non illuminated GMC sign, at almost 2 feet x 4 feet it will display well too!

Dan,

I have the same white star sign, same size. Mine's date 33' and has a blue porcelain "T" strip across the top, with the holes to hang the sign. The strip is half rusted off, was a poor design with these signs because water was trapped easily. Great sign, your's is in nice shape. Here's my BOTW:

Got the correct spigot for my Bowser 41 carriage house gas pump from an Oldgas.com member last week. Got the pump sitting in the corner of my new display area that is in the process of being finished off.

Picked these up on my Peotone trip. The 6' neon Mobil shield is on the original can. Dropped it off at the neon shop, on the way home.

I had to make a quick 2-day trip to Montana on the Canadian long weekend to pick up a repro Tokheim 36B door since it was too expensive to ship directly to me. My hopes were to do a bit of selling and hopefully a lot more buying along the way. The pickings were slim but still I made the best that I could. Here are some photos of the oil stuff that I got along the way. I was happy to get a couple of mint sets of the B.A. cardboard service stations in the envelopes and also a cardboard B.A. Peerless quart. Only the second one I have seen. Also brought home the Robin Hood sign, a Vick's thermometer that I didn't have and eleven full boxes of rolling papers, Chantecler, Vogue and OK. No I don't smoke but I do collect the dispensers. A long trip but great weather and scenery, a lot of stops and I got to see a couple of great collections again. Always worth a trip south. Cheers, Don.

Also this showed up the antique mall on Sunday while I was waiting for some friends to go out for coffee. Needless to say that it went right out again to my truck. It should be a fairly easy cleanup. I am always looking for stuff I can use as display racks. Plus my folks sold Goodyear tires at our service station in the 1950s and 60s. The Goodyear rack is Canadian and dated 1960. Now to figure out where to squeeze it into the collection. Cheers, Don.

Nice score Don, I'm not sure, did you see my pic's of my composite peerless can on here a while ago? Yours is the second one that I've seen. Please keep me in mind about one of your cardboard service stations if you decide to bring one to Red Deer next spring, hint, hint.

X2!
I had one of those cardboard BA stations in my hands last year at a local swap meet. Price was rather steep so I passed on it, wish I had it now!

Bryce that was offered for sale here. It is a 2006 original. But I like it too as it has a bird, ethyl and an aviation theme. Can't beat that! I am not likely to see a real original.

Nice to see an original neon sign brought back to life, rather than these clowns out there punching non neon signs. Beautiful job on a beautiful sign.
