I have both a green & blue light topper. I am told the blue light is more rare so my question is will the color make a difference in value? Both lights and the pole are Rever. Also what is the value as it sits as opposed to completely done. I am kind of partial to the way it looks with the shade attached to the pole base. Thought I may just rewire it and set it by my couch as a lamp until later when I have my own garage.

I think it looks pretty good as is. Only find so many things that are in that condition. I say keep it original.

I'm sure more experienced guys can straighten me out on this if Im wrong, but I don't believe this pole is complete anyway. So painting it will not hurt it's value. This looks to be only half the pole. The tube portion above the fluted portion would have gone up another 6-10 or so more feet, and that is where the shade would have been.

Absolutely love the blue shade BTW!!!

You are correct, the upper section has been cut off. I think for the time being I'm gonna leave it this way and use it in my house and finish it when I have my garage. Anyone have a value on what the pole is worth as is, as opposed to completely done? I am able to buy another pole just like it and trying to figure out if it will be worth it?

There were a couple at Peotone that were complete and had the upper pipe. They were priced at $900, which I think is a little high? I have seen nice ones as low as $600.

Would the pole in current condition be worth $400 or $500

Isn't all that's missing is a piece of 1 1/2" pipe/rigid conduit?
Not sure what you have is worth. For comparison there was a Revere pole like that with a 4' vertical fluorescent light (with the diffuser still intact), and a porcelain bonnet complete and in excellent condition at Peotone for $600.
