I purchased this sign yesterday and when I first purchased it I thought it was a Shell sign I had seen before but then I realized the ones I am use to are red writing at the bottom and not black. Is there a reason for the two different versions. This one is dated 1933 at the bottom.

GREAT looking sign!! New to my eyes in either color!! I'm not sure why, but I have a thing for credit card signs!

Really big credit cards sign, I'd like to see a picture of one in use...

I bought one from a picker in OK that he pulled straight out of a creek bed in 8+ condition...

Neat signs

DC was there a date on yours maybe that was the difference was the year? Possibly the one Butch has is a different year than this one. It is a big sign too for a credit card sign.

I THINK mine had the 33 date, sold it at Iowa Gas a couple of years ago...

Very nice sign. I would love to see a picture of it hanging in the wild back in it's time.
