For got to post this picture of a Richfield sign my friend jack found yesterday at a garage sale. The house was in Foreclosure and every thing was for sale. Jack told me he walked through the entire house and there was nothing of interest so then out the back door to the garage said he bought a few hand tools. He told me as he’s standing there waiting to pay for the tools he looked up in the rafters and there on the wall is hanging this dirty bird and some fishing poles. He then asked the lady at the table was the bird for sale and if so how much. She said if you climb up and get it down you can have it for ten Dollars. Just goes to show you the stuff is still out there.

Jack wanted me to ask you guys do you think it’s the real deal and what’s it worth. It will be hanging in his pool room for life.

You never know when or where it will turn up.
Is the thing lighted? Cool find.

IT'S THE REAL McCOY. Looks to be in Great condition. They were made faceing both directions & are not a lighted sign. Hung on the side of station [would look good lighted through, never thought of doing that].
$125-175.

These are a decal that was mounted on plexiglass like yours or wood like the one I have. I saw one at a flea market a month or so ago. Someone had used the the sign board to paint a beautiful brown eagle over the original blue decal (oops).

Not worth much in brown, but they look great in the original Richfield colors. Great rafter find. Good reminder to look up at those estate sales.

I had one and sold it a few years ago when I was still in Claifornia. I think I got $175 for it so as usual, Professor DB is right on the money.
