I have come across an American 187 clockface complete in nice shape that is for sale. It is listed in the pump book at $3900.00. Is it really worth that kind if $$$?
Drive with Care and Buy Sinclair!! I buy Sinclair globes, signs, cans, ect.

It's a great looking pump. It reminds me of the heavy cast iron National Duplex which is a costly pump too. I'd think the right person would step up for that one. Don't give it away. ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

I have to clarify my statement. I have found this pump for sale and have not purchased it. I was looking for input as what to pay or offer for it. I would keep it if I got it.

BUY IT! It is an awesome pump. I sold one last year for $3300 and I wish I would have kept it! Scott [This message has been edited by scootdog (edited 01-09-2004).]

Is that the picture I took of Dave Bowman's? Those are cool!

The picture Scootdog posted is of an American 288 "Cash Recorder" not the 187. Both are killer pumps, but the "cash recorder" is worth more in my opinion. ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

Cool, I looked up the 187 in Jack's book. I like the 187 better than the cash recorder. I have a huge file of pictures. 99% of the time I can't remember where or who I got them from. Looking at that picture was giving me a deja vu thingy.
