I have a question about Tokheim 300 face plates. I have two 300's right now, one with ad glass and one without. I'm not sure if they have the correct face plates on them or not.
The first two pictures are of a red 300 with ad glass. The next three pictures are a green pump without ad glass. The faceplates on the green pump have an angle on them which doesn't seem to look right. When the door is closed it looks fine (you can see the angle slightly from the side when the door is closed).
I bought the pumps from the same guy. Are the faceplates possibly switched? Is the angled faceplate engineered to guide the light towards the ad glass? Or are they correct? Or are they both supposed to have the straight faceplate like the red one?
I tried to research this on my own, but I am at a dead end. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all for any help.

The face plate with nothing at the bottom is utilized with the ad glass. There is a sheet metal deflector that attaches to the rubber seal that holds the ad glass in place.

Dave,
Thanks for the response.
Ok, so the previous owner did not switch them? It just seemed like the angled one was designed to flow into the light deflector that attaches to the door with the ad glass. Or I was thinking the angle one was for a different model completely, because it doesn't match up to the side frame very good.
Thanks again, Steve

There are two different computers used on the 300's. If you look at your green pump you will notice numbers are a little longer than earlier computers. This computer takes the face plates with the GALLONS letters just above the price per gallon numbers. On the earlier computers the other face plate is used and you will notice the GALLONS is above the total gallon numbers. This face plate is repoped the other is not. They are not interchangeable. I can't tell which computer you Red pump is. Richard

Gator, Thanks for the info. I didn't even realize it had to do with the computers (and yes they are different). I assumed it was because of the lighting. There I go assuming again! Thanks a lot for the help.

Richard is correct. The faces with the angle on them are used on the newer automatic reset computers.
