Good question kentjay! Your post got me thinking, I have a bunch of good ones on hand that I'll eventually use up on my pumps. On the other hand I have alot of old ones and would like to send them off for a cosmetic rebuild. Hopefully the oldgassers will come through with some good info.

I've had pretty good luck with cleening them up in the past, but the one I'm working on now is kind of a strange duck. It's off of a first model Wayne 40 and the wheels seem to be about1/16 narrower than normal,so the tape that is for the wheels is just a tad to wide. I can't seem to get the tape on straight without taking it all apart, which requires special punches,so I think somebody does it, but I don't remember who. I'm not a big fan of using tape, but I probably don't have a choice with this one.
