I was contacted by a seller that claims to have some 12" X 3 3/4" UNION ad glass. Is that dimension a common size? I can't seem to find it listed by any vendors. Jim

Now that would be the definition of bass ackwards! Get the ad glass first and the pump second.

I guess I am bass ackwards. I bought original A-38 Super Shell ad glass and then had to buy a pump to put them in.

I looked and I can't figure out what those glasses fit either. As for being bass ackwards, I am the definition of that term. My name is Bass and I'm always finding some small part of a project and then spending a fortune buying the big stuff to go with it! I first found a metal globe body with a hole in the top and now have ended up buying a pump, pole light, and set of globe lenses to go with it. No that's bass ackwards if I ever heard it.....GB

I once purchased over 50 pieces of NOS Marathon ad glass, many sizes, but there was a number of large ones. The printing on every one of the 50 was exactly the same size, regardless of the size of the glass. My assumption is that the had large pieces made, and they could trim them down to fit any pump.

That size could be cramed in a Bennett 546 (ad glass model) if you left the rubber off. The correct size for a 546 is 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.

Jim are the corners of the glass square or rounded? Off the top of my head I think the size you are asking about is for the Wayne 505 - 605 Their were a lot of these pumps that were Union oil even though most I have seen said "The Finest"
